Dermatologists have always told us to wear sunblock everytime we go outside to protect our skin from harmful UV rays.Come to think of it, though. The body needs sunlight to produce vitamin D in the body. It is then imperative to ask--does sunblock prevent the synthesis of vitamin D?
Recent studies show that it does, but the effect is negligible, the reason for which is that people do not put enough sunblock, allowing some sunlight to pass through.
