Brain Vitamin

Is this article real? if it was this is pretty scary.. At first I thought B12 was some kind of a funk band, but when I read further, it make me realize that it something like taurine which is some kind of a brain vitamin. B12, I'm just wondering how where vitamins are named, since this is B12 does it mean that this vitamin is one of the last vitamin that was discovered?
