When I take my daily dose of multivitamins, I am told that I should take it with my food or after eating, the reason being that it will benefit me more positively this way.

Surely enough, taking vitamins on an empty stomach is as good as flushing them away. it's because the food you are ingesting gives off chemoreceptors.

Vitamin B deficiency in pregnant women may lead to birth defects, says study
