Vitamin D plays certain roles in human health, probably the most famous of which is its role in bone development.
However, with studies on the effects of vitamin deficiency continuing, it has been found out that pregnant women who lack the vitamin are four times more likely to have a caesarean section than those who do not. More on this at Examiner.com
